Domestic Hot Water Control

Divcon EMS is actively involved in energy conservation as it applies to multifamily, institutional and hotel facilities. While this seems to be a broad spectrum, these types of facilities share a common element. They all establish general time periods in which substantial hot water consumption occurs. Within these time periods, there are increases in the amount of hot water being used as well as the exact time that it is used.

The DHW controllers we utilize provide the optimum arrangement: An automated control system which maintains the required hot water to meet the current demand and yet reduces the temperature during no or low demand. The system is capable of controlling the storage and supply temperature independently. Since up to 50% of the energy loss occurs in the re-circulating loop, the system must be able to provide a minimum temperature in the loop while still maintaining a reserve in the storage tank.

The type of DHW controller we can provide typically produces from 18 to 40% in energy savings for their users. These energy savings prolong the DHW systems useful life, reducing your maintenance costs and converting a portion of your utility cost into profits!
