We are currently seeking

Application
Engineer/Programmer
Location: Dallas, San
Antonio, Amarillo
and Austin Texas
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Programming
and set-up of HVAC/DDC systems for local controllers and networks
- Prepare
submittal drawings for control systems based on engineering plans
and specifications
- Develop
flow diagrams, valve and damper schedules, I/O summaries as required
- Commissioning
and troubleshooting of building control and facility management
systems
- Timely
completion of all associated documentation and paperwork
- Providing
on site customer training appropriate to the specific site and
system
- Qualifications:
- Preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in building automation and controls
programming and/or related experience with building management
systems
- Demonstrated
static and dynamic programming skills
- Excellent
working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
- Strong
interpersonal skills with an ability to think creatively to quickly
solve problems and troubleshoot systems
- Ability to communicate technical information
clearly to a non-technical audience
- Proficiency with Vision, Auto-cad or other industry
related software drawing and design software
Professional Sales
Location: Dallas, San
Antonio, Amarillo
and Austin Texas
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acquire
a good knowledge of our product line.
- Develop
sales leads, qualify prospects and make initial sales calls.
- Negotiate,
estimate, quote, bid, propose and close jobs at qualified margins
- Interface
with customers and contractors to develop relationships.
- Evaluate
and propose new sales objectives.
- To
solicit retrofit control projects when applicable. Qualifications:
- Preferred
experience in building automation and controls sales and/or related
experience with building management systems.
- Preferably
have Strong relationships with Mechanical Contractors in the area.
- Demonstrated
sales skills and a good understanding of building automation and
mechanical systems
- Knowledgeable
in layout and application of Direct Digital Control systems
- Computer
proficiency with programs. (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability
to prepare accurate and clearly written estimates, quotations and
proposals, with the appropriate clarifications.
- Excellent
interpersonal skills and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks
and a variety of people
- Strong
work ethic. Ambitious. Self-starter. An entrepreneurial spirit is
required.
Controls Service
Technician
Location: Dallas, San
Antonio, Amarillo
and Austin Texas
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform
service, start-ups, repairs, and trouble-shoot building environment control
systems
- Performs
preventative maintenance service as part of service agreements, periodic
inspections, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested
by customers.
- Keeps
current on all products concerning installation, operation,
maintenance, service, and repair.
- Provides
technical support and basic training to customers
- Available
for occasional after hours and weekend shifts for after hours
service
- Travel
to customer job sites is required
Qualifications:
- Technologists
diploma in Electronics, Process Control, Robotics &
Instrumentation or equivalent preferred
- Preferred
experience working with HVAC, Access and/or building automation
systems.
- Familiarity
with programming requirements for DDC systems
- Preferably
able to interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project
plans or other technical documents
- Good
knowledge of the operation, installation and servicing of peripheral
devices
- Trouble-shooting
and problem solving skills; able to diagnose problems and implement
cost-effective solutions
- Demonstrate
commitment to excellence in customer service
- Able to
work with minimal supervision
Divcon is willing to train
entry-level technicians who possess the desire and will to learn. A
background in construction, HVAC, maintenance/service or energy
management is preferred for entry-level candidate.
Controls Installation
Technician
Location: Dallas, San
Antonio, Amarillo
and Austin Texas
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform
installation, start-ups, repairs, and overhauls of automated
building control systems
- Performs
preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications
as needed or requested by customers.
- Keeps
current all products concerning installation, operation,
maintenance, service, and repair.
- Provides
technical support and basic training to customers
- Available
for occasional after hours/weekend shifts
- Travel
to customer job sites is required
Qualifications:
- 1-2
years experience working with HVAC and/or building automation
systems
- Must be
able to bend conduit efficiently
- Familiarity
with programming requirements for DDC systems
- Able to
interpret blueprints, project plans or other technical documents
- Good
knowledge of the operation, installation and servicing of peripheral
devices
- Trouble-shooting
and problem solving skills; able to diagnose problems and implement
cost-effective solutions
- Demonstrated
commitment to excellence in customer service
- Able to
work with minimal supervision
- Good
communication skills, including written and verbal correspondence
- Basic
computer skills
Project Manager
Location: Dallas, San
Antonio, Amarillo
and Austin Texas
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage
each assigned project so as to complete it on time and within
budget.
- Prepare,
update and maintain project schedule in Microsoft Project inclusive
of all labor tasking and budgeting.
- Obtain, organize
and maintain all project contract documents. Coordinate with
accounting on a schedule of values.
- Layout
and design project in accordance with contract documents and
approved sales estimate.
- Create
project shop drawings, Bill of Materials and submittals.
- Submit
project submittals for approval when required and manage approval
process.
- Prepare
and update engineered project cost estimates.
- Order
and schedule delivery of material on Bill of Materials.
- Prepare
installation subcontractor bidding documents and negotiate
subcontracts.
- Coordinate
activities of installation subcontracts.
- Review
and approve material and subcontract invoices for payment.
Create, load and test system database.
- Supervise
and direct activities of subcontractor assigned to the project.
Prepare project schedule of values.
- Prepare
project billing and revenue forecasts. Billing due by the 10th of
the month and in accordance with contract documents.
- Check
out and start up system.
- Coordinate
and direct project commissioning.
- Prepare
and deliver final project documentation.
- From
time to time assist Sales personnel with project cost estimates,
sales presentations, and collections.
Qualifications:
- Good
understanding of HVAC systems and electronics.
- Strong
organizational skills.
- Good
oral and written communication skills.
- Strong
product knowledge.
- Strong
PC literacy.
- Clear
understanding of the concepts of Substantial vs. Final completion on
projects.
